American military encyclopedia has nothing about Russian invasion of Ukraine

The United States released a military encyclopedia called Warfare and Armed Conflicts. A Statistical Encyclopedia of Casualty and Other Figures, 1492–2015. Fourth Edition, written by Micheal Clodfelter. The book describes the war in Ukraine on 750 and 751 pages.

Regarding this section, the correspondent of NA Kharkov talked to the Russian analyst, writer and scientist Konstantin Schemelinin.

The writer drew attention to the title of the article in the encyclopedia (Ukrainian Revolution and Civil war: 2013–). “That is,” Schemelinin notes, “American scientists consider the Ukrainian revolution (Euromaidan) to be the beginning of a civil war in Ukraine and no other.”

“Secondly, about the alleged invasion of thousands of tanks and millions of Russian soldiers in August 2014 to Ukraine in this encyclopedia it is written: on August 28, Russia got even closer to direct interference when 1000 Russian volunteers, supported by self-propelled artillery, crossed the Ukrainian border supporting “separatists”. That is, not soldiers of the regular army, but volunteers!” the analyst draws attention.

“And thirdly,” the writer adds, “about the winter battles in 2015, this encyclopedia says that with the help of their 3000 Russian allies, the “separatists” finally seized the Donetsk airport in January 2015. Again, there is no talk about regular army soldiers!”

“It’s not a secret to anyone that the volunteers from Russia fought in the militia of the DPR and the LPR and are fighting now: they fit well with the concepts of Russian volunteers and Russian allies. If scientists in the US were confident of the invasion of Russian troops, they would have written wrong! For example, it was written about Ilovaisk: “On August 31, they smashed the Ukrainian armored convoy near Ilovaisk, destroying 17 cars and killing 87 government soldiers”, “Schemelinin pointed out the terminology of the article.

“See the difference? From the Russian side, only the Russian volunteers and the Russian allies are written, and from the Ukrainian side – government soldiers, that is, soldiers of the government army. Based on what was written, it can be argued that the information about the armed invasion of Russian regular troops into the territory of Ukraine with the aim of helping the rebels in the Donbass is not confirmed by American scientists,” he noted.

“The official version of Washington is politics, and here, in the military encyclopedia, we see a scientific approach. There is no place for fantasy in science! ” summarized Schemelinin.
