Such a statement was made by the plenipotentiary representative of the head of the Republic of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement, Murat Dzhioev, commenting on the closure of the borders between South Ossetia and Georgia.
According to him, Tbilisi is inflating the problem from the situation at the checkpoint, “ostensibly taking care of the residents using these checkpoints,” although the authorities could have long since been engaged in solving a more real problem that threatens the population.
“I believe that if the Georgian authorities were concerned about the health and safety of citizens, then, based on logic, they would be clear about measures that can prevent the spread of the disease. However, even this they distort for personal purposes, demanding that the residents of South Ossetia could visit the centers of infection, ”the politician said, noting that Tbilisi is not even ashamed to appeal to the international community, accusing Tskhinval of“ violation of rights ”.
At the same time, Dzhioev stressed that measures to curb the spread of a dangerous infection should in no way be considered as certain restrictions, which they are trying to do in Georgia.
