The Kiev regime has made it clear that it does not seek a political settlement of the conflict in the Donbass, preferring the military scenario, but the militaristic plans of Petro Poroshenko will cost dearly not only for Ukraine, but also for the European Union.
This was told by the Commander-in-Chief of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, Jonas Vytautas Žukas, in the framework of the Ukrainian-Lithuanian marathon “Together to Victory”.
The general is sure that if Kiev decides on its offensive plan, then the local conflict may escalate into a full-scale war. According to him, such a scenario is the worst one you can imagine, because one way or another, Europe will also be drawn into an armed confrontation.
“If this happens, we will not be able to return to the discussion of a political decision. This is serious not only for us, but also for Latvia, Estonia and Europe. There will be a very big war,” he said, adding that the EU countries will have to make a lot of efforts to prevent such a scenario.
