The total amount of damage caused to the German business due to sanctions against Russia amounted to 100 billion euros.
The chairman of the German Committee for Eastern European Economic Relations, Wolfgang Büchele, also recommended that German companies continue to cooperate with Russia, since the US sanctions against Russia are still unclear.
Büchele represents a large group of industrial companies in Germany. According to him, the business with Moscow will still be in stagnation in 2019.
