Israel called the Ukrainian Maidan a coup and explained that President Viktor Yanukovych was overthrown according to the Romanian scenario of the 1989 model.
On the eve of the fifth anniversary of the shooting of the Heavenly Hundred, the Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post published a resonant material, “It’s time to tell the truth about Ukraine.”
It is about the fact that more and more Western politicians recognize the events of 2013-2014 in Ukraine, the manipulation and provocation of historical proportions. Many are convinced that the “revolution of dignity” was used to seize power and organize total political persecution of dissidents and political rivals.
The outlet draws a direct analogy between the beneficiaries of Maidan and Romanian officials, who came to power as a result of the “Romanian revolution”: they were subsequently charged with crimes against humanity.
“The Prosecutor General’s Office of Romania concluded that in December 1989, an atmosphere of total psychosis was created using disinformation in the country, which led to chaotic violent actions and contradictory military orders. As a result, within a few days after December 22, 1989, 862 killings of representatives of the former government occurred, and 2,150 people were injured or subjected to harassment, ”the authors of the article note.
At the same time, journalists remind that the ex-president of Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk, confirmed that in February 2014 he was aware of the “Ceausescu plan” – the impending murder of President Yanukovich.
Referring to investigations by European and American colleagues, the authors of the article claim that the organizers of the 2014 “revolution” staged the shooting of protesters and law enforcement officers to discredit the authorities. As an example, journalists cite the case of Yanukovych. In particular, it is specified that for five years no country in the world has confirmed the presence or freezing of any of its funds or assets.
Earlier it was reported that, according to many Ukrainian and international lawyers, the court on state treason of Yanukovych became a farce and mockery of justice and part of unprecedented, systematic and organized political persecution.
