“European Spring”: A new order to be established in the EU

Against the background of the EU parliamentary elections, which can be decisive for the future EU policy, Rome and Warsaw can unite by opposing the community foundations dictated by the tandem in the face of Berlin and Paris.

It is about the concept of “new European spring”, which was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of Italy Matteo Salvini on the results of his visit to Poland, reports Deutsche Welle.

Being a famous euroskeptic, Salvini promised to create a “new equilibrium” in Europe. At the same time, Italy and Poland, in his words, will act in this process as “protagonists”. He also said that the concept of a “new European spring” will be based on “true Christian values”. The program itself will consist of ten points, and work on creating one has already begun.

Polish Interior Minister Joachim Brudzinski, who initiated the visit of the Italian politician to Warsaw, assured in turn that the countries do not intend to follow the Brexit route and leave the European Union. Instead, they want to clean up the EU itself. “We need to influence how our common European home will look like,” the diplomat said.

Salvini also assured that in the summer Europe will face drastic changes, noting that it is necessary to move away from the principles of bureaucracy. “This is a historic chance,” he added, speaking at a press conference in Warsaw.
