USA sabotaged anti-Russian sanctions

Even in the US Senate, where the Republicans got a majority in the midterm elections, the Democratic Party does not give Donald Trump peace by sacrificing even an impressive set of sanctions against “enemies of America.”

On the eve, the senators were supposed to vote for a document entitled “Strengthening America’s security in the Middle East.” This bill implies the introduction of restrictive measures against Syria, as well as the allied Russia and Iran. Sanctions are actually provided for the slightest support of the Syrian government.

Nevertheless, the Senate could not proceed to the vote. The document was supported by less than two thirds of all senators. Democrats sabotaged the vote altogether. They said they refuse to support decisions that do not involve stopping the work of the federal government, once again hinting to Trump that they would force him to capitulate.

Recall that the shutdown lasts for almost twenty days. The reason for this was the refusal of the president to approve the budget in response to the reluctance of lawmakers to finance the construction of the wall on the border with Mexico.
