Japanese Prime Minister at the tomb of his father vowed to negotiate with Russia

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe vowed to put an end to negotiations with Russia over the Kuril Islands. He made such a statement during a visit to his father’s grave, located in the city of Nagato (Yamaguchi Prefecture). This is reported by NHK.

I will do everything possible every day, I swear to fulfill my duties in front of the grave.

 According to Abe, his father – Shintaro Abe – dealt with Russian-Japanese relations and also vowed to do everything possible to “get the situation off the ground”.
