The vessel with the flag of Panama, which left the Russian port of Azov, sent a distress signal about 92 miles from the northeast Black Sea province of Samsun. On board the cargo ship were 13 crew members, including nine citizens of Ukraine, two citizens of Azerbaijan and two Russians.
The Coast Guard announced that a distress alert warned of a possible shipwreck.
It is noted that as a result of the tragedy, two people died, four more were missing. Seven crew members are currently saved.
