The British government demanded clarification about the death of the journalist, however, at the same time, the British trade representatives responsible for arms exports continued to hold high-level meetings with their Saudi colleagues.
The publication notes that the case of Saudi Arabia is not the only evidence that for the UK trade is more important than human rights.
