Due to the total migration of young population of the country, the Lithuanian government decided to hold a referendum on preserving citizenship for all who left Lithuania.
The reason for the mass emigration may be that Lithuania leads the EU in terms of indicators such as population alcoholism and suicide. Also, Lithuanians expect an increase in gas and electricity prices.
