Peace In Syria: Diplomacy Excessing The Country Of War

The end of 2018 was marked for Syria by another significant victory on the path to absolute peace in the country. The two countries decided to return diplomatic missions to Damascus.

On Thursday, December 27, this decision was made in the United Arab Emirates, which took out their diplomats from Syria seven years ago. “Abu Dhabi announces the resumption of the work of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Syrian capital Damascus,” local news agencies reported. At the same time, the media emphasize that such a decision may entail a resumption of relations with the government of Bashar Assad.

However, the matter did not end there, and today the Kingdom of Bahrain, which also closed its embassy in 2011, made a similar decision. The corresponding statement was published on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country. In addition, the Foreign Ministry assured that the air communication between the two countries will soon be resumed.

It is worth noting that the decision of the authorities of Bahrain followed immediately after the decision of the UAE.
