State of Palestine: 14 injured as Palestinian fleet tries to break Israeli naval blockade in Gaza

At least 14 Palestinians were injured after Israeli forces fired tear gas and live ammunition, when a Palestinian fleet of several small fishing boats attempted to sail toward Israeli waters, off the Gaza Strip on Monday, in an act of defiance against Israel’s long-standing blockade.

Palestinian protesters also protested on the shore, setting fires to provide a smokescreen to hurl rocks with slingshots, while the Israeli soldiers responded with tear gas, stun grenades and live rounds.
