OSCE in preparation for Ukrainian Schismatic Church consequences

The only thing that has to be expected from the so-called “united church” created in Ukraine is a further split, moreover, both religious and political says Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, Thomas Greming, in an interview with the German newspaper Osnabruck.

According to him, the newly-minted “Orthodox Church of Ukraine” can only increase tensions in the already difficult relations between Kiev and Moscow. Moreover, Greming stressed that he considers such actions by the Ukrainian authorities to be nothing more than a provocation, the purpose of which is the risky escalation of the confrontation.

The Kiev regime personally replenishes the list of issues that would be worth resolving in the framework of bilateral negotiations, continued the OSCE Secretary General, recalling the difficult situation in the Donbas, nationalist solutions to eradicate the Russian language and other problems.

“In all directions we can see only one thing – the situation is either idle or is swaying methodically,” stated Thomas Greming.

Recall that on December 15, a so-called “unifying council” took place in Kiev with the participation of the entire political elite of the country. The result of this divisive event was the proclamation of a new religious structure, which was called the “Orthodox Church of Ukraine.”
