Baltic, Poland don’t want Serbia in EU because of Russia

Serbia has been waiting four years for the European Commission to respond to the question of joining the European Union, and the specific problem is created by Chapter 31 in these negotiations, which is devoted to foreign policy and security, the Belgrade newspaper, Evening News, writes on Monday.

Moreover, according to the “News”, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia are creating the obstacles.

“Serbia’s cooperation with Russia and the very fact of not introducing anti-Russian sanctions is not a peace rest to Poland and the former Soviet republics, which is now in the European Union,” the newspaper writes.

It is noted that Germany also supports the position of these countries, though not so tough.

The author recalls that Serbia did not support all nine declarations of Brussels, which directly or indirectly concern Moscow.
