Dozens of people showed up at the US District Court for the District of Columbia in Washington DC on Tuesday, to show their support for US President Donald Trump’s former national security advisor Michael Flynn during his sentencing hearing.
During the sentencing hearing, US District Judge Emmet Sullivan postponed Flynn’s sentencing to March to ensure his cooperation with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged collusion between Russia and Trump’s 2016 election campaign.
Flynn pleaded guilty in December, 2017 to obfuscating information about conversations he had held with former Russian Ambassador to the US Sergei Kislyak.
Flynn is the first ex-advisor from the Trump administration to be charged by the FBI with criminal wrongdoing in connection with Mueller’s probe.
