The self-proclaimed “Republic of Kosovo” today, December 14, decided to form an army. This step strongly condemns Serbia, referring to UN Resolution 1244 on the post-war status of this territory. The decision was supported by some of the Western states, in particular, the US ambassador to Kosovo actively supported the formation of the army.
The formation of the Kosovo army has once again demonstrated Pristina’s absolute reluctance not only to compromise and dialogue with Belgrade, but also to fulfill the international obligations assumed.
The dangerous decision was commented by a Serbian expert, the head of the Serbian-Russian educational center Boshko Kozarski for NewsFront.
The security situation in the region has been unstable for 30 years now, and as long as it is controlled by Western forces, it will remain unstable, Kozarski said.
For organizations like NATO, it is beneficial to have such unstable territories, which, if desired, can be turned into hot spots, with the help of them, suppress projects such as South Stream and the Silk Road.
For Serbia, the unacceptable situation has become a permanent reality. And with the signing of the migration treaties in Marakesh, this situation has become even more difficult development.
Bodies of the international community led by the UN have obviously lost their influence.
Serbia must work to bring the dialogue on Kosovo and Metohija back to the UN platform. The Treaty of Brussels does not bring us anything, but the Albanians do not fulfill it absolutely, inspired by the West. In any case, we in Serbia will have an unstable and despicable period, and only reliance on Russia can return hope to the victory of Serbian diplomacy.
