UK: MPs, protesters hand 10 Downing St. petition for second Brexit referendum

MPs and campaigners from the ‘People’s Vote’ group handed a petition calling for a second Brexit referendum to number 10 Downing Street in London on Monday.

Among others, Chuka Umunna MP, Vince Cable MP, Caroline Lucas MP and Justin Greening MP attended the small march to 10 Downing Street, where UK Prime Minister Theresa May resides. The group handed the petition over to a clerk and then held a sit-in close by.

The MPs and the other demonstrators spoke out against Theresa May’s Brexit plan, which is scheduled to be voted on in the House of Commons on December 11.
