Theresa May decides to take on a desperate step

It remains a little more than 14 days before the vote in the House of Commons. On December 11, the MPs will have to answer the question whether they support the proposed Brexit draft?

If voting would take place today, the Prime Minister’s plan would be rejected with a crushing score. Another alignment will look like a real miracle in two weeks. In such a stalemate, May seems to be launching her own presidential campaign. But here at stake, in contrast to the standard elections, are the votes of 649 MPs. Any political conventions were thrown aside. The leading people in May’s team have already invited Labor Party deputies to individual interviews. All in order to enlist at least 20-30 votes in the opposition camp.

Real political debates are on the agenda. The May camp is seriously working on a plan to challenge Jeremy Corbin to the debate. Television debates should be the last trump card in May’s hands and go a day or two before the voting itself. It’s amazing what May is ready to go for, especially knowing she is not in love with the televised debates. After all, it was the current British Prime Minister who diligently avoided appearing on television during the early elections in 2017.

Then the party was represented by various members of the cabinet. It cannot be ruled out that such a desire for debate can turn into serious troubles. It is easy to assume that Corbin will use the platform and go beyond the stated topic of Brexit. The final of the next season of Brexit promises to be dramatic.
