Kosovo is an example of a problem that is not only ours – Serbian academician

When the conflicts in Kosovo began, no one in the world knew about this territory, and now everyone knows about it. Kosovo is an example of a problem that not only Serbia has, said well-known Serbian academician and writer Matia Bečkovic on the air of Radio Belgrade.

“When everybody was told that Kosovo is an exceptional case that will not happen to anyone else, it was already clear that the process could not be stopped if this incident consolidates and others refer to it,” Bečkovic said.

“The Americans, who kindled this conflict, now say: the Serbs and Albanians must agree. What should have been from the very beginning was remembered only after such events had passed.”

The academician confirmed that Kosovo is not lost and cannot be lost for Serbia.

In Kosovo and Metohija remains a tense situation after the arrest of the four Serbs by the special division of the police of the self-proclaimed “Republic of Kosovo” in the northern part of the city of Koska Mitrovica. The provocation occurred shortly after the Interpol refused to accept Kosovo as an independent member.
