Ukrainian UN resolution on the violation of human rights in Crimea does Russia a huge favor: Expert

Konstantin Knyrik, head of the News Front news agency explains why Russia is benefited by the next UN General Assembly resolution on human rights violations in Crimea. He also drew attention to the number of countries that abstained from voting for the adoption of the document.

Commenting on the third resolution of the UN General Assembly on human rights in the Crimean peninsula, the expert drew attention to the changed number of countries that abstained from voting on the document.

In an interview with Tsargrad, Knyrik suggested that more and more countries “are beginning to understand that there is no point in these actions, because in Crimea, the decision is final and irrevocable.”

“All these provocative resolutions – they do not lead to anything good,” says the head of the News Front news agency.

As for the possible consequences for Russia, then, according to the expert, Russia has long been in such situations with philosophical humor. “In general, they say in Crimea: that the first, that the second, that the third resolution does not change the state of affairs at all,” he says.

“But at the same time for us it is a certain information window and opportunity. Because after this kind of crazy resolutions, of course, people look at the real situation. More and more Europeans are interested in the real state of affairs. And when they see that the resolution doesn’t correspond to reality at all, it is sometimes even to our advantage, ” he concluded
