Denis Pushilin confidently leads the elections for the Head of the DPR with 57.3 percent of the votes based on the results of processing 27.19 percent of the ballots. This was announced today at a press briefing to journalists by the chairman of the Central Election Commission Olga Pozdnyakova.
Elections of the Head and Deputies of the People’s Council of the DPR ended on the eve at 20:00. The voter turnout exceeded 80 percent, the number of voters, according to preliminary data of the CEC, amounted to more than 1.6 million people.
