At least five jihadist camps operate in Kosovo – Serbian expert

Islamic extremism in Kosovo and Metohija and in the Balkans is a harsh reality, as well as the future, if the international community does not deal with this problem more seriously, ”said Serbian religious analyst Milan Vukelic, speaking at the presentation of his book “Kosovo and Metohija under the flag of the Islamic State.”

The author cited data: 314 Albanian jihadists from Kosovo and Metohija went to Syria and Iraq to join ISIS. Only in 2015, 78 people were arrested in Kosovo for propaganda of Islamic extremism, and, what is especially frightening, 11 of them were imams – authorities for believers. 207 Albanians from Macedonia have joined ISIS as well. And, as the author of the book notes, “in the territory of Macedonia, radical Islam developed by the same means as in Kosovo.”

“On the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, there are at least five camps for training jihadists. The largest ones are located in Dečan district, towards Orahovac and Djakovica, less so near Kékona and Prizren were left without work, and now they train future ISIS jihadists,” the Serbian researcher added.

In a commentary for NewsFront Serbia Milan Vukelic confirmed that there is no difference between the actions of the KLA in the nineties against the Serbs and the current violence of the Islamic state against the non-Muslim or non-Suni population.

“Mujahideen from Saudi Arabia and other countries supported AOK not because they were in favor of creating“ Great Albania. ”As we know, Islam rejects the notion of nation. They saw Kosovo as a bridge for spreading radical Islam to Europe,” the author replied and also recalled that AOC enjoyed the support of al-Qaida.

Answering the question whether it is appropriate to talk about the collision of Muslim and Western ideology in Kosovo (where, in parallel with the spread of radical Islam, gay parades are held and other “democratic values” are consumed), Vukelic referred to the phenomenon of Islam.

“Any pretense is allowed to a Muslim if it is in the interests of his religion. He is allowed to deny that he is a Muslim, destroy a mosque, break the Quran – if it’s for Islam, if after that he builds 100 mosques and prints 100 copies of the Quran. “The Kosovo authorities use it. Because they need the support of the United States and Western Europe.”

The political scientist agreed that the danger of the return of jihadists to the Balkans and to Europe is very serious. And at the end, commenting on the very essence of the “Kosovo project,” he expressed the hope that the United States and other sponsors of the “independence” of the region would soon realize that they had worked not only against the Serbs, but also against themselves.
