USA: Google employees walk out over sexual harassment scandals

Google employees in New York City joined hundreds of others worldwide on Thursday to walk off the job in a protest over claims the company mishandled sexual assault allegations against executives.

Employees from Berlin to Hyderabad, London and Tokyo staged co-ordinated walkouts and demanded a more equitable workplace culture for women and minorities.

“It is absolutely disgusting that anyone thinks you can be less than exceptional and worse than that, you can be negligent about sexual assault, sexual harassment, abuse of power, inequities across every pillar that we have to no consequence. We will bring the consequences”, one protester said.
