Russian military have delivered a three-tonne consignment of food to civilians in the Syrian regions of Daraa and Aleppo, Lieutenant General Vladimir Savchenko, chief of the Russian center for reconciliation of conflicting sides in Syria, told reporters on Wednesday.
“The Russian center for reconciliation of conflicting sides has carried out two humanitarian missions over the past 24 hours. Residents of Akraba, Daraa province, received 300 food sets with a total weight of 1.29 tonnes, and people in Tall-Mstabel, Aleppo province, received 450 food sets with a total weight of 1.95 tonnes,” he said.
Despite the cessation of hostilities agreement, violations continue by illegal armed groups operating in the Idlib de-escalation zone. In the past 24 hours, the village of Etera in Latakia province came under fire, he said.
