Consequences of NATO bombing of Yugoslavia will be scientifically proven

The consequences of the NATO bombings against Yugoslavia will be scientifically researched and proven, and those who believe that there were none, have never dealt with cancer patients, said a well-known Serbian neurosurgeon and public figure, head of the neurosurgery department of the Serbia Clinical Center, Danica Gruičić.

As Gruičić told reporters during a tour of the new clinic building, specialists from four ministries will approach the issue from a scientific, mathematical point of view.

“When there will be results, we will definitely talk about them. For now, I can say that those who speak about the absence of the consequences of the bombing have not dealt with cancer patients,” the doctor said.

Danica Gruičić as a physician and as a social activist repeatedly raised the topic of the terrible consequences of NATO strikes against Yugoslavia, in particular, the bombardment of depleted uranium shells and attacks on chemical objects for the environment and public health. According to her, since the 2000s, there has been a jump in oncological diseases in the country, as well as female and male infertility.

The State Commission formed in Belgrade is to find out what impact these strikes have had on soil, water and air in specific parts of Serbia, and how these consequences can be overcome.
