While Oleg Sentsov is serving a fair punishment for preparing terrorist acts in Russia, the European Parliament decided to pamper the Kiev regime with a new anti-Russian antics, awarding the Sakharov Prize to the “Hero of Ukraine”.
Another provocation against Moscow, albeit modest at this time, will stand next to the scandalous “Skripal case”, airliner that crashed in the Donbass and others, because such a decision of eurodeputies is nothing but a desperate challenge to Moscow, considering that there were candidates who deserved the prize much more.
The EP preferred the criminal to a multitude of organizations involved in the protection of “European values” and saving people who are trying to get to Europe by sea.
The decision of MEPs was commented in an exclusive commentary for NewsFront by activist from France Monique Gimenez.
“I think this is not surprising. What is just not being done, so that we do not do to provoke Russia. The European Parliament should take care of those who left Ukraine because of the persecution. This is a shame, ”she said.
The Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought was established in 1988 and is awarded to those who made an exceptional contribution to the struggle for human rights. Sentsov appeared in the list of nominees thanks to the right faction of the EP.
