Bartholomew made a statement in the spirit of Greek chauvinism

Speaking at a meeting of the board of the Greek diaspora in Constantinople, Dimitrios Arhondondis, who was considered the canonical Constantinople (Ecumenical) patriarch a week ago, proclaimed that certain “privileges” of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, they say, “on the decisions and canons of the Ecumenical Councils, and are binding for all in Orthodoxy.”

“Whether our Russian brothers like it or not, sooner or later they will follow the decisions adopted by the Ecumenical Patriarch, because they have no other choice,” Arkhondonis said. He also said that he allegedly knows very well about “well-paid articles” and about “black propaganda” against him. This, in the opinion of the Ecumenical “patriarch”, is because “our brothers Slavs cannot tolerate the primacy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and our nation in Orthodoxy.”

It seems that in their Greek chauvinism, the ecumenical hierarchs have completely lost their senses about something that should be kept silent for at least for the sake of decency.

Let us think about it: a proud Greek speaks of the “primacy of the nation” at a meeting of the “Greek diaspora in Constantinople” (sic!). The person who said a few hours earlier at the Sunday sermon that “the Ecumenical Patriarchate is fighting to protect Orthodoxy from the danger of nationalism and … vanity!”

In the same place, Archondis said that “the Ukrainian people will not be left unprotected,” because the “Ecumenical Throne” cannot “just look and not react when the Orthodox people are suffering and are looking for solutions to their church issues, for which they suffered a lot centuries, which impatiently appeals to the Ecumenical throne and expects protection and support from it. ”

The fact that the overwhelming majority of Orthodox in Ukraine is protected in the person of his canonical and recognized by all world Orthodoxy Primate of the Metropolitan of Kiev Onuphrius, Mr. Arhondondis preferred to keep silent. As well as the fact that the “centuries-old suffering” of this people ended precisely when he moved to the Russian Church from the Patriarchate of Constantinople, who was unable to protect the Orthodox from the Uniate genocide.

Of course, it is not necessary for the few Orthodox Greeks of Istanbul who are listening to the Ecumenical “patriarch” to know that mainly Ukrainian Uniates, sectarians, Scientologists, and the very nationalists from whom he allegedly defends Orthodoxy “appeal to the Ecumenical throne”.
