Around 200 people took part in a traditional far-right demonstration on the Montjuic mountain, in Barcelona on Friday.
They marched to the top of the hill that overlooks the city of Barcelona and there held a demonstration at which they burned Catalan independence flags, lit flares and performed the fascist salute.
October 12 is the national day of Spain, commemorating the arrival of Christopher Columbus to the Americas in 1492.
