The company Westinghouse, which, according to the US authorities, had previously been subjected to cyber attacks by Russian military intelligence officers, believes that there was no penetration into its systems.
“We found no evidence that the phishing campaign against employees to penetrate Westinghouse’s systems was successful,” a company spokesman said.
“We cooperate with the Ministry of Justice in this case, but we cannot provide comments regarding its details, as the investigation is ongoing,” he added.
On Thursday, the US Department of Justice accused Russian citizens of breaking into a Westinghouse company.
