Serbian Army abolished state of high combat readiness

The state of full combat readiness, introduced throughout Serbia last weekend due to the aggravation of the situation in the province of Kosovo and Metohija, has been abolished. The relevant decree was announced today by the department of the president and supreme commander-in-chief of the country, Alexander Vucic.

This state has operated in Serbia since Sunday, September 30th. Then about 60 fighters of the Kosovo Special Forces took up positions near the hydroelectric power station on lake of Gazivod and entered the Ecology and Sports Center near the dam in the north of the region. The object was visited by the president of the self-proclaimed “republic” Hashim Thaçi.
