The agreement with Greece on the name of Macedonia is imperative in nature and does not find respect among the citizens of the ex-Yugoslav republic,” said the Serbian historian Cedomir Antic.
“Macedonia has escaped war, having listened to the West, while Greece as its southern neighbor disputes its name, Albanians – state and national unity, Bulgaria – a language and a church, and Serbia demands that the church issue be decided in accordance with canons,” the expert believes.
He added that now the Macedonians need to accept that their history and language are also “North Macedonian”.
According to him, there is still a big question, what will happen to Macedonia after the referendum. After all, the constitutional reform is supposed, and through it the Albanians can get even greater rights.
