Does Armenia expect a new revolution?: Pashinyan decided to make the parliament as “popular”, like himself

The revolutionary Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, who long ago proclaimed himself and his government as “popular”, now decided to deal with the parliament of the republic, which, in his opinion, is still not popular.

So, in his speech dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Assembly, he declared that he was ready to deal with the “popularity” of the legislature, adding that this would be the most democratic approach, as the will of the people, he emphasizes, is the most important source of effectiveness and legitimacy of power.

He also clarified that the parliament should exactly correspond to the revolutionary moods of Armenia, that is, himself: “And in this connection, I consider it important that the Parliament of Armenia does not have such problems and there were no questions about how much it expresses the choice and the will of the people. “

“All of us, as one society, one state, one people that could realize an unprecedented revolution in the history of mankind, will be able to solve the problem in the current agenda of domestic politics,” the head of government concluded.

Earlier it was reported that Pashinyan announced his intention to rewrite the Constitution of the country in order to stay in power, although earlier stated that he was ready to resign, according to the legislation, as soon as they announced the holding of the parliamentary elections. At the same time, the National Assembly reacted negatively to such plans, after what all the PMs hatred was toppled on it.
