Residents of the Syrian province of Raqqa went to protest directly to the military base of the United States. They demand the immediate withdrawal of US troops from the country. This on Thursday, September 14, reports Fars News Agency.
According to media reports, several dozen residents of the US-occupied province came to the base of the US Armed Forces. The meeting is held 500 meters from the military facility.
Protesters hold placards in their hands with calls for the withdrawal of US military from the republic and the province of Raqqa. They also demand government troops, controlled by the official Damascus, to enter the region.
Recall that a year ago, the US and its allies in the antiterrorist coalition launched the so-called operation to liberate the capital of the “Islamic state” Raqqa. Later, the Pentagon tried to justify itself, arguing that the massive bombing did not lead to casualties among the civil population. However, human rights activists who later visited the city published a report in which they told about hundreds of dead civilians, some of whom were killed by the US military several hours before the ceasefire with the ISIS.
