Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the tripartite summit of Tehran is crucial for resolving the civil war in Syria.
Erdogan made the remarks during a three-day trip to Kyrgyzstan in an interview with journalists, referring to the negotiations and consultations by Hulusi Akar and Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the ministers of defense and foreign affairs of Turkey, adding, ‘We care about these negotiations, but the Trilateral meeting Tehran is the most important thing.’
The third round of the summit of the three countries of Iran, Russia and Turkey on Syria will be scheduled to be held in Tehran on Friday, September 7, and the Turkish authorities announced Idlib will be the subject of talks.
He said the situation in Idlib is very important for Turkey, adding that there are 3.5 million citizens and the massacre and killing must be stopped.
Erdogan said that Turkey would be the only place where the citizens of Idlib could take refuge in order, noting, ‘An important part of the problems related to the developments in Syria has been resolved, and so while we are thinking of the return of Syrian refugees to their country, a possible attack on Idlib has become a dangerous incident to the subject of the day.’
Referring to the intensive talks on Adlib, the Turkish president said, ‘If a conflict occurs there, serious and massive massacres will take place. ‘
He also said about the situation in the city of Manbij of Syria,’In this regard, the situation is not in agreement with the American side, and I can say that in this regard, we are no at the point agreed upon between Chavoshoglu and Mike Pumpo, the foreign ministers of Turkey and America The agreement is not fulfilled, and only the existing status has been retained.’
