Russian interference – a fake of American intelligence and media

US intelligence officials and the American press are spreading false statements about the so-called “Russian interference” in order to undermine the reputation of members of the Congress on the eve of midterm elections in the United States.

In November, US voters go to the polls to elect legislators who will represent their states at the federal level. Interim elections will determine whether the Republicans will retain control over the Congress.

US intelligence leaders, including National Intelligence Director Dan Coates, without any evidence previously warned of the so-called “repeated Russian interference”, but in the midterm elections in the United States.

Former adviser to the US Department of Defense Karen Kwiatkowski said in an interview with Sputnik that she has doubts about the reliability of US media reports and the claims of intelligence agencies.

“Reading the articles of the American press, so to speak, between the lines, it seems that politicized members of the US intelligence community, including people like Dan Coates, hedge their bets,” she said.

Dan Coates and his colleagues wrote down their “concerns” about the so-called “Russian interference” in advance in order to publish their “fears” in the event of unexpected support of Trump.

The former adviser to the US Department of Defense also noted that the assertion of the American press about a source in the Kremlin is a lie, and accusations against Russia are false assumptions that are part of a broader strategy designed to reassure the Trump electorate.

Kwiatkowski pointed to a significant lack of evidence in support of US allegations of Russia’s “interference” in the mid-term elections of 2018.

Former Canadian diplomat Patrick Armstrong, who once worked at the Ottawa embassy in Moscow, said in an interview with Sputnik that the American media were writing lies to support interest in elections and to reduce Trump’s support.

Armstrong also confirmed that accusations against Russia do not have any evidence.
