Three police personnel wounded in bomb explosion, southwest of Kirkuk

Three police personnel, including an officer, were wounded in a bomb explosion, southwest of Kirkuk, a security source from the province said on Saturday.

In remarks to AlSumaria News, the source said, “a bomb, went off targeting a patrol for the Federal Police in al-Gharib village in Hawija town, leaving three personnel, including a police colonel, wounded.”

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the source said, “troops cordoned off the explosion scene and prevented approaching. The wounded were transferred to nearby hospital for treatment.”
