Italy bridge collapse death toll rises to 41

The number of people killed in the collapse of a bridge in Genoa has risen, reaching 41 people, the Italian news agency ANSA reportedon Saturday.

Earlier reports put the number of victims at 38 people.

On the morning of August 14, a large section of a bridge through which the A10 Genoa-Savona highway passes (European route E80) collapsed. Images and video footage from the site showed flattened cars under concrete wreckage. The collapsed section mostly fell onto rail tracks below, but debris also hit nearby houses.
