Rescue ship Aquarius carrying 141 migrants docks in Senglea

 

Rescue ship Aquarius, carrying 141 migrants onboard, docked in the Maltese port of Senglea on Wednesday.

The migrants will later be distributed among Germany, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, and Spain, who earlier agreed to take Aquarius refugees.

The majority of those onboard, which includes minors, were saved from Mediterranean Sea and come from Somalia and Eritrea.

The ship is operated by SOS Mediterranean and Doctors Without Borders.
