Lieutenant General of the German Armed Forces, commander of the Northeastern Corps of NATO in Polish Szczecin, Manfred Hofmann is confident that it would be better if the West made Russia a partner, Der Tagesspiegel reports. Journalists note that it is Hofmann who will decide how to react to the aggression “in the event of Russia’s invasion of the Baltic states”. At the same time, according to the general, he is not inclined to trust “instigators in politics”, claiming that Russian troops are allegedly attacking Narva.
“War will be a disaster for both Europe and the rest of the world. In Western countries, Russian proposals were often ignored. It would be better if the West made Russia a partner, “he says.
