The mechanized groups of the 3rd Armored Forces Division of the SAA and the reinforcing units of the National Defense Forces (NDF), as well as the detachments of the former insurgents, broke through the defense of the “Islamic State” in the east of the Sweida province last weekend and splitted the enclave into two parts.
During the day the militants cleared the western part of the boiler, releasing over 325 square km of territory, and then took up its eastern part. As a result, the settlements of Rasum Al-Tatmuni, Hirbat Al-Ambashi, Talul Al-Khaybrya, Rasum Marush, Su al-Naamu, Dharah Rashid, Zaribia, Khirbat al-Shahriya, Wadi Al-Ramliyat, Wadi Shajra, Zamla Nasser, El Nahyan, Tal al-Daba, Tal Dabiya and Cabr al-Sheikh Hussein went under the control of the Syrian army.
Currently, most of the dominant heights in the vicinity of Al-Safa are occupied by government troops. The fate of jihadists is predetermined, since they can not now receive reinforcements from the region controlled by pro-American forces.
