On Wednesday, August 8, the fourth rotation of American servicemen took place in the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security (Yavoriv Landfill of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) in the Lviv region within the framework of the United Multinational Training Group Ukraine. The Ukrainian military will now receive training in support and assistance of the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment of the US Army. In the meantime, the US military of the 27th Infantry Brigade is heading home, Radio Liberty reports.
At the training ground of the Supreme Armed Forces, a solemn ceremony of transferring powers from one to another of the US military unit took place. The 27th Infantry Combat Brigade from New York State, which for 9 months conducted training for Ukrainian servicemen at the Yavorovo range, lined up on the parade ground and folded its battle flag. And the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, whose history began in the state of Tennessee in 1887, unfurled its banner.
It is noted that since the beginning of the training program, NATO countries have trained for more than 7,000 Ukrainian militants.
Now for 55 days, experienced Ukrainian fighters are training the 54th separate mechanized brigade. This is already the 12th rotation of military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the support of NATO. During this time, NATO troops trained Ukrainian military instructors who directly conduct training for Ukrainian militants in the Donbas, while NATO representatives monitor the preparation process, jointly make decisions, that is, they carry out a consultative mission.
In June, it was reported that one of the battalions of the 80th separate air assault brigade of the APU had completed a full course of training on NATO standards.
On May 30, Ukraine agreed with NATO on a road map for defense-technical cooperation.

Recall that the military bloc of NATO is widely implemented in the military structures of Ukraine. The Alliance exerts its influence mainly through its advisors, various programs and five trust funds, which are responsible for different areas of reform. In particular, 44 advisers from 13 NATO countries work on the permanent basis in the structure of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces .
