Terrorists planning to reoccupy Syria’s Aleppo

Kurdish media outlets in Northern Syria warned that the terrorist groups that have been backed up by Turkey plan to reoccupying Aleppo city.

News 24, affiliated to the Kurdish militia, quoted a well-informed source in regions controlled by the Ankara-led Euphrates Shield forces as disclosing that some of the terrorist groups in Northern Syria are working on a plan to reoccupy Aleppo city.

The source, who requested to remain anonymous, pointed to the terrorists’ recent attacks on residential areas in Aleppo city, and said the terrorist groups have received aid from one of the regional states.

He declined to name the country that is sponsoring the plan, but Turkey is the only regional state that backs up various militant groups in Northern Syria.

New 24 further said that the terrorist groups have put their fighters on alert, planning to use bombs and other explosive materials to attack the army checkpoints in the region.

It also reminded that a vast region from the Eastern bank of the Euphrates River to Afrin is now under the control of the Turkey-backed Free Syrian Army.

On Monday, the army’s missile and artillery units opened heavy fire at terrorists’ positions in three regions in Western Aleppo, inflicting major losses on them.

The terrorists, deployed in Western Aleppo, launched missile attacks on residential areas in al-Hamdanieh district and the 3,000-unit Housing Project near Aleppo city, killing and wounding eight civilians.

The army’s artillery and missile units, in response, targeted terrorists’ positions in Bashantara, Hoor and Bashqatin regions in Western Aleppo, destroying several artillery platforms, launchers, cannons and positions of the terrorists.

A number of terrorists were killed in the army shelling.
