The Israeli Defence Force (IDF) carried out airstrikes on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip early on Saturday, in response to “terror and violent riots” at the border. The official Twitter account of the IDF said the jets had hit tunnels, Hamas training facilities and other “terror sites”. The series of rallies known as the ‘Great March of Return’ returned to the Israel-Gaza border fence on Friday.
