Demonstrations are due to take place in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee.This follows a protest yesterday at Turnberry where Greenpeace paraglider flew a banner bearing the slogan: ‘Trump Well Below Par.’Scottish Labour Leader Richard Leonard spoke to a crowd of protestors at George Square in Glasgow. He said: “My message for Donald Trump is simple: Scotland rejects your hatred, your greed and your misogyny.”Mr Trump flew to Scotland on Airforce One after his meetings with Theresa May and the Queen on what has been described as a private visit. This will be his first visit to the country of his mother’s birth since becoming President.It follows protests in London yesterday where tens of thousands of people took to the streets of London to oppose the visit of the US commander-in-chief.Mr Trump is due to travel to Helskini for a summit with the Russian President Vladamir Putin on Monday.Yesterday officials in Washington charged 12 Russian Intelligence agents with interfering in the 2016 US elections. The Russian Foreign ministry said that the charges were “intended to undermine the summit”.
