Italy: Salvini visits San Ferdinando migrant camp

The Italian Minister of Interior Matteo Salvini visited a migrant tent village in the Southern town of San Ferdinando on Tuesday.

San Ferdinando was a tent village where the labour unionist and worker Soumayla Sacko lived before he was killed over some scraps he was taking from an abandoned factory.

Salvini visited the tent village and spoke on what he believed is the right way to cope with immigration: “I want an immigration that is limited, controlled and qualified. That is a positive value for those who welcome and for those welcomed.”
