White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders commented on the prospect of recognising Russia’s claim to Crimea while speaking in Washington DC on Monday.
“We do not recognise Russia’s attempt to annex Crimea. We agreed to disagree with Russia on that front, and our Crimea sanctions against Russia will remain in place until Russia returns the peninsula to the Ukraine,” she said.
When asked about a potential pro-life Supreme Court replacement for retiring Anthony Kennedy, Sanders said Trump is “not going to talk to judges about specific cases. He’s looking for individuals that have the right intellect, the right temperament and that will uphold the Constitution.”
