The future of the European Union is at stake and “During the year it will become clear whether a single Europe will survive,” said Italian Interior Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini.
The unity of Europe has been jeopardized by the divergence of the refugee issue. Italy is no longer able to accept a single person, but “on the contrary, we would like to send a few somewhere.”
The Minister promised to present a roadmap at the working meeting of the European Commission on the solution of the migration problem. Also much will depend on the upcoming talks on the EU budget and the elections to the European Parliament, which will be held in 2019.
