Europe on the eve of the next “avalanche of refugees”: Austrian expert warns against “path of mosques”

The public should be ready for the fact that an “avalanche of refugees” will soon cover Europe, as it was in 2015. Now the migration expert from the Austrian Ministry of the Interior drew attention to the fact that “this year the arrival of refugees almost tripled” in Greece. In addition, there are supposedly entirely new routes, such as the “path of mosques”, in which Muslim churches should support migrants during a trip.

The new Balkan route, which is now in its infancy, leads through Albania and further through Montenegro or Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina to Croatia. Local specialists call this route – “the path of mosques”: mosques along the way should support “refugees”. Currently, several videos are already posted on the Internet, which in Arabic describe the detailed path through the region to the EU.

Peter Webinger from the Austrian Ministry of Internal Affairs refutes allegations that the danger of a new wave of refugees is contrived. Not only the Turkish-Greek border, but also the Balkan states have a distinctly increased influx of refugees. Thus in Bosnia this year there are almost 4,400 arrivals. For comparison, last year for this period – it was only 207 people.

Webinger calls for realism: he who wants freedom of movement within the Schengen zone must confirm the strong external protection of the borders.
