Representatives from North and South Korea held a meeting at the ‘peace village’ of Panmunjom in the Korean Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) on Friday, following a meeting in New York between US secretary of state Mike Pompeo and North Korean vice chairman Kim Yong Chol.
Friday’s inter-Korean summit had originally been cancelled by Pyongyang in response to a joint US-South Korea air force drill.
